Initial project pricing..
Geez.. using freelance coders is a bit more expencive than I thought..
I have a few contacts (via GetAFreelancer.com) who have made a bid on my first project:

Visitor enters site (can select “mobile” or “normal” browser width (480px vs 800). (css ?))
Visitor can browse / search Items, and sort by selecting (marking) tags (extended categories).
Visitor then sees a list of Items, where he can press Play / Buy (add to cart) and REPORT! buttons.
Visitors can Comment on Items (press comment button, lists previous comments and a 3 (max) line new empty comment text field)
Visitors can see 5 star rating system and rate themselves by pressing one of the 5 starts. (remember ip/session has rated – prevent multiple ratings from same) Item will display the calculated new rating and how many votes there has been totally.
When visitor purchases Items, they are delivered as Digital goods, A generated link is generated, visitor gets an onscreen message with these links, and an email with the links. Download counter (max 2 downloads) Download valid for 3 days indicator.
Join as a user; email verification needed to activate, password strength check, recover lost password function.
User can upload “items” (files), tag files into categories, enter title and description, and “publish/hide” these items…..”
I mean this isent RocketScience
… and still the offers are between 2500 $ and 8000$ !!! for this alone.. (its part 1 of 3 coding areas).
For this price and for this “simple” task I really do consider code it my self - then have somebody validate and code the last more complicated stuf (like adding the CAPTCHA…)
Im going to ask those Pakistani why they consider it to be a 8000$ deal.
